The 7th Annual Fuqua/Coach K Conference on Leadership will take place October 20-22, 2008 at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.

2008 Conference Theme: Leading in Challenging Times: Overcoming Crisis, Sustaining Excellence, and Growing Intelligently

Our increasingly complex world poses new leadership challenges than those faced by our predecessors. Because of the global market, political context, and the speed at which business moves, today's leaders face a myriad of issues. These include internally inherited or externally generated crisis; new competitors, customers, and vendors; and a dramatically different workforce dynamic. Even leaders of rapid growth organizations face challenges in expansion while remaining true to the organization's core mission, and those in highly successful organizations face challenges involving innovation and potential complacency. This conference will bring these various issues to bear and present new perspectives on leading in challenging times.

About the Conference

The Fuqua School of Business & Coach K Leadership Conference is convened by the Fuqua/Coach K Center of Leadership & Ethics (COLE) and delivered through the collaborative effort of Duke University's Fuqua School of Business , Duke Corporate Education , Duke University Athletics and The Kenan Institute for Ethics. The Leadership Conference presents an exciting learning experience that will enable you to anticipate tomorrow's opportunities and better lead your organization.

The format of this interactive conference includes keynote, plenary and smaller breakout sessions featuring outstanding leaders from business, sports, government, and nonprofits. The panel sessions are moderated by Duke faculty and scholars and are designed to allow participants to easily interact and learn with the speakers as well as from one another.
